Cancun, Quintana Roo, Mexico.

US$ 8,500 OBO

After 10 months of travel in the USA, Mexico, Belize and Guatemala, our overland trip is coming to an end.

Our companion, a 1984 Toyota Dolphin Motorhome “Elvis Sucio” is for sale.

He is comfortable, safe and equipped for the perfect overland adventure. We have found him to be the ultimate vehicle inside and out. Due to its smaller size and simple exterior it did not attract unwanted attention in any of the places we have travelled, while on the inside it is renovated and features most imaginable conveniences.

He has provided us with shelter in the rainy season and from the hot sun in the tropics, while letting us enjoy a worry free travelling lifestyle. He is not much longer or heavier than a van but it has all of what a studio apartment on wheels can offer, including a full kitchen, a bathroom with shower, sofas, bed, flatscreen tv etc. All appliances work either off the two house batteries or off propane.

He is nimble and strong and was able to climb any and all mountains and beaches we did put in front of him. He is a Toyota, absolutely reliable, and while we have never needed it, service and parts for it are available throughout the Americas. The R22 engine is famous for its long life and reliability.

He has a clean title and is registered in the state of Nevada, USA.
The engine is a 2.4 Liter, 4 cylinder, 4 speed stick shift (manual transmission) with the 22R engine. The interior is freshly renovated, has brand new laminated floors, seat covers, blinds and paint. All the windows and the door have seamless mosquito screens. The exterior is worn with some scratches and minor indentations as a proof that he can go off the well traveled roads too. Most places we did not miss a 4×4, our ground clearance was the key to reach the best hidden beaches.

He has not once let us down, we have not had any issues in our 10 months of travel. At the start of our trip we have had it serviced by Toyota in Las Vegas and Los Angeles. On the road we have had oil, oil filter, bearings and brakes changed and or serviced.

Inspection, handover, time and place is flexible within the state of Quintana Roo, Mexico.
Another option is that we deliver to Los Angeles but the price will be accordingly higher.

Registering him in the new owner’s name in the USA from abroad can be arranged with an external service provider.
