Selling my 1990 Winnebago. V6. Standard.
Average 17mpg. Runs like a champ. Clean Texas title.
Transmission and clutch were rebuilt 5k miles ago at Aamco. Still under warranty. Tires have around 15k miles on them. Still plenty of tread. Only 18months old. New plugs, wires, and distributor cap. New AC system. Had to be updated. I drove this thing across the country for a bike race last year and it never let us down. It will need new front brakes soon.
There are some goofy things the last owner did. Like, there’s a fishfinder tv suspended behind the rear view mirror linked to a camera. It’s like a backup camera. Just a little odd. He replaced the original cut out bed with a plain board and reinforced it. So you can still crawl from the house to the cab. But only if you’re more limber than I am. I used an IKEA memory foam mattress. I’ll throw that in if you want it. It’s a full size bed area, but longer. I’m six feet and fit fine.
The speedometer is a little hinky. It generally swears you’re doing five to ten miles over reality. But there’s no chance you’ll be speeding in this thing. If you have an ego about being passed by a Prius, this isn’t the vehicle for you.
Bike rack comes with it. It’ll hold two bikes.
It’s got cruise control. Everything works.
New speakers and semi-new radio/cd player with aux port.
No leaks. Roof had a small leak when I bought it. And there are some signs of that leak under the mattress area. I’ve attached a picture. You could replace the plywood but it’s solid and dry. I went a little overboard on the the fix. It’s now got a rubber roof and eternabonded seams. Spent last winter in Portland and it stayed perfectly dry. Absolutely no mold. I have ridiculous asthma and never had an issue.
Carpet looks amazing for nearly 30yrs old. Which means there are some small stains. Doesn’t smell funky.
Solar panels and inverter. Battery’s a year old and doesn’t hold a charge like it used to. It’s a glass mat battery so you don’t have to deal with acid. And still runs the fans and lights all day. I did switch all the house lights to LEDs. I can still charge a laptop and watch TV. To do more than that, might need a new battery.
This is a nice trusty fishing RV or tiny house. Sleeps four very uncomfortably. 2 is comfortable. This isn’t the model with the couch. This is the model you can park in a normal spot. It’s not fancy but it’s reliable af. And great if you want to travel around at a slow, steady pace.
Paint is same as carpet. It’s 30yrs old. One panel was repainted to cover a ridiculous logo painted on it.
I’m six feet tall and learned to drive in tiny cars so I don’t mind sitting up near the steering wheel. But if you’re taller than I am, you might not be able to drive it.
Feel free to bargain. But I know how rare the little beast is, and I’m not in a hurry. Only selling it because my dog hates it. There’s no point if he can’t ride with me.
No trades. Cash only. Can only show after five on weekdays. Any time on weekends.
