More Details & Pictures
After thoroughly searching the internet and owning this camper for a decade, I can confidently say that this might be the only one of its kind, in the world.
Its major selling points are:
-Reliable original Toyota 20R engine
-Very large queen sized bed platform
-Vast storage area underneath bed
-Storage channel beside bed
-Multiple large storage compartments to the left and right of back entrance
-Unique front-facing skylight
-Some of the interior swivel-lights still work
-Original paint
-Original seats
-Original wall and ceiling padding
-One-of-a-kind fibreglass body
-Comes with 4 winter tires and a set of two rear summer tires
That being said, I acknowledge that it isn’t in the greatest condition anymore.
Here are some of its flaws:
-Have not been able to start the engine since last summer (reason unknown), but it DOES turn over.
-Rust on the frame and underbody makes it risky to put on a hoist for mechanical work
-Rear fibreglass section is cracked and damaged
-Signal and brake lights come on, but do not work properly
-Left rear taillight housing is missing
-There is a very slow leak in the rear differential housing seal, needs to be topped up once every year or two
-There is a slow leak in the left rear tire that results in a flat after about a month
-Passenger windshield wiper is missing
-Needs a “special touch” using the installed choke-pull-lever, to start the engine
Maintenance history (in order of most to least recent):
-Replaced coolant pump, drive belt, and coolant hoses
-Cleaned horn mechanism contacts and power supply contacts to fix horn functionality
-Fixed cigarette lighter
-Replaced starter
-Replaced parking brake cable
-Replaced section of exhaust
-Replaced all fuses and headlight relays
-Replaced clutch and resurfaced flywheel
-Balanced tires
-Replaced brake pads and calipers
I am always available for an honest and upfront conversation about this camper and any offers!
